Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Beaver, Utah. I go to Brigham Young University. I have been called to serve a mission in Fiji. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college freshman at Brigham Young University, and I love it! I am from a small farming community in southern Utah named Beaver. I love the outdoors! I enjoy all types of sports, especially football and soccer. I also love to sing, play the guitar, and play the piano. I love to travel and see the different cultures of the world! I have been called to serve a 2 year mission to the islands of Fiji. I leave January 14, 2015, and I could not be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a heritage of Mormonism. My entire family is Mormon, and has been for multiple generations. This is how I came to know about the church, but it is not how I came to know it is true. I had to find out for myself whether or not God is real, and whether He leads and guides this church. As I look back on life experiences, I have found that I am most happy when I am faithfully living to the standards of Mormonism. I feel peace and I feel the Spirit when I am involved in it. I have prayed and asked God to know if it is true, and he has answered my prayer with the most serene and peaceful feeling. I am a Mormon because I know it is the only way to find true happiness.

How I live my faith

The most important way I live my faith is by my actions. I strive to do whatever the Savior would do in any situation, and even though I need much improvement, I continue to keep trying. I am one of the leaders of the freshman boys in my ward. I am involved in leadership that teaches lessons on Sundays, plans activities specific to our group, and looks out for the individual members' well-being. I try to make sure everyone is having a positive experience.
