Hi I'm Brooke

I am from South Jordan, Utah. Currently I am a missionary in the Virginia Chesapeake Mission. I play lacrosse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am nineteen years old. Since I was twelve, I've been involved in playing lacrosse. I enjoy almost any kind of physical activity and plan to stay as active as I can throughout life. I enjoy reading, especially the Book of Mormon. My other interests include drawing and painting. I have a goal to make a piece of art good enough to sell one day. I think I may become one of those people you see sitting in the park just painting the view. I have completed one year of schooling at Utah Valley University, and plan to return once I go back home after my mission. My favorite color is yellow. So there you have it - I am a lacrosse player, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church ever since I chose to be baptized at the age of eight. My parents each did the same, because of the truths they learned from their parents. I am so grateful for the things my ancestors have passed down to their children, because it has led to my whole life being influenced by the knowledge of the Truth. I desire to share the Truth with others so that they may embrace it, and eventually pass it on to their posterity as well. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the kingdom of God on the earth. All who choose to join it by entering the waters of baptism and never stray will find that it will bless their lives eternally. Choosing to follow Christ is the best choice one could make. I make it each day, and strive to live my best. Because of this, Heavenly Father strengthens me where I am weak. Making prayer and scripture study a priority in my life has truly helped me repent, live better, and live happier. I know that Christ loves each of us. He literally loves us more than life itself. I know that He knows me and is aware of each pain, weakness, and sorrow that I have ever had. He lives, and because of that we all can return to live with our Father in Heaven again one day.

How I live my faith

Right now I am spending every day looking for ways to invite others to come unto Christ. As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (a.k.a. the Mormon church) that is our full-time purpose. We teach lessons and talk to people everywhere we go, to try and share the glorious news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
