Hi I'm Parker Scott

I grew up in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and have the best family on earth. I love them and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors whether it is camping, hiking, or golfing. I am a Eagle scout and love being in the scouting program that has taught me so much. I have three siblings and was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have been called to serve in the Rome, Italy Mission and can't wait to preach the gospel in the Italian language. I love my family and the church keeps me on the strait and narrow path where I need to be.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the church can be a reason why I'm Mormon, But truly it is the examples throughout the church that really encourage me as a Mormon. I have so many leaders in the church who love me and make me feel right at home. I also believe that the church makes me truly happy. I can't find anywhere else where I strongly feel of lifelong and eternal happiness. The church provides a sacrament service where we are able to be forgiven of our sins through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Knowing that I can be cleansed each week like I entered the baptismal font when I was young is what keeps me going to church and living the Lord's commandments.

How I live my faith

Being in the youth programs you are able to do so much for the people in the community and fun activities that help you have incredible life long friends. We as a youth program have been able to do service projects for people who are not capable of helping themselves and community projects. It includes the elderly, big events in the community, and anyone in need. We love feeding the homeless during the winter time at a homeless shelter. Many other projects that we can do outside of our church meetings.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Parker Scott
A Young fourteen year old boy who's name was Joesph Smith who lived in Palmyra, New York. During the spring time of 1820 he wanted to know what church was true and which church he should attended. He knelt in the grove of trees and prayed to heavenly father and He appeared to him and his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. As heavenly beings they appeared to prophets like Moses and Paul in biblical times. The true church was organized by Jesus Christ, but was no longer on this earth. Joesph Smith was chosen by God to restore The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints back onto the earth. Joesph was visited by other heavenly messengers, he translated the Book of Mormon which is our foundation of our faith. The church was organized in Fayette, New York, on April 6th 1830 under the leadership of Joesph Smith. Now the church was grown in vast numbers across the globe where people learn to love God and follow him. Show more Show less
