Hi I'm Hector Lopez

I was born in Mexico and raised in the United States. I love the Gospel, music and having fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love having fun and enjoying life with my family and friends! Music is definitely one of my favorite ways to enjoy life, especially listening to country, rock and Latin music and yes, it is a weird combination... and I love playing instruments like the guitar, the clarinet and the saxophone! I also love to dance bachata, cumbia and merengue! I also enjoy reading and being outdoors. I'm currently finishing my time as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon...is because I know that this is the true Church of God. I have read the Book of Mormon. I have followed the commandments of God revealed to us through His modern-day prophets. I have lived the doctrine and know for myself that it is of God. I have also prayed to know for myself, and through the Power of the Holy Ghost I know that the Book of Mormon truly is another testament of the reality and divinity of Jesus Christ; that Joseph Smith, and all of his successors, down to the present day, are His prophets and apostles, endowed with His power and authority; and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Kingdom of God on Earth, to prepare all of His Children, that will listen and obey, for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ. It's not always easy to love, serve, help and forgive others, and I know that I am far from perfect. But through the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for me, I receive the strength and guidance I need to continually become better and help those around me, whether it's through service projects as a Boy Scout, teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a missionary, or just being an example of the believers.
