Hi I'm Jason

I'm a medical student. I was a missionary in Brazil for two years. I love baseball, computers, TV and movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a medical student living in Pennsylvania with my wife and our little baby boy. I grew up in Utah and was a missionary in Brazil for two years. I am a TV and movie fanatic. I love building custom gaming computers. I wanted to be a professional baseball player growing up. Instead I will be able to help others live healthier lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. The biggest blessing in my life is that being a Mormon is a commitment. We make covenants which are sacred promises to follow Christ and keep His commandments. This is often turns off others' interest in our religion. It may appear to be too restrictive. However, like a marriage or a good career, the best endeavors in life require passionate commitment. If I am to live a life of purpose and integrity it cannot be only when convenient or when I have nothing better to do. This is the Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days. As a member I am trying to be a saint. This means that my words and actions should make it obvious that I believe in Jesus Christ and am actively trying to live as he taught.

How I live my faith

Currently I work with the young men in my church. I help them learn to live as Christ would have them live. On Sundays we study the scriptures and words of the living prophets. During the week we meet as a Boy Scouts troop to learn new skills and volunteer time serving the community. On my own, everyday I try to study the scriptures and spend some time in prayer. I know that by doing this I am training my mind and my spirit to recognize opportunities to help others. Sometimes it is a kind word. Other times I sacrifice my comfort and time to give others what they need.
