Hi I'm Tim

I am a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan, speak Italian, and help people build a financial plan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am husband, father of five (four boys and a girl), and come from a family of seven children. When I am not working as a financial planner, most of my spare time is happily spent with my wife and children. I also enjoy rooting for the San Francisco Giants and my alma mater, BYU. On occasion I can also be found golfing, snow skiing, and singing in choirs.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon household, and enjoyed attending church and living Gospel principles, so baptism at the age of eight was an easy decision. It wasn't until I was about fourteen that I really felt I needed to know for myself if this church truly is the restored church of Jesus Christ and not just one of many good churches out there. I accepted the challenge to read the Book of Mormon and sincerely pray to know if it is true. I clearly remember the overwhelming feeling of warmth, love, and power that came from the Holy Ghost as I prayed, as if Heavenly Father knew what I was asking before I could even finish the prayer. I know not everyone's prayer is answered the same way but I do know it was the answer He knew I would recognize. I know that a witness from the Holy Ghost is more powerful and lasting than anything I could ever see with my eyes or prove with science or human reasoning. I therefore know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that President Monson is the living prophet today, holding the same Priesthood keys that Peter, James, John and numerous other prophets held, given by Jesus Christ. This knowledge gives me a clear, peaceful understanding of why I am here and where I am going; that thanks to the atonement of Jesus Christ my wife and family have the opportunity to return to live with our Heavenly Father, share in His joy and peace, and continue to progress and become more like Him. I also know from faith and experience that keeping His commandments as revealed through ancient and modern prophets brings the greatest peace, stability, and happiness in this life, and forms an anchor of safety for the difficult trials we all face in mortality. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's one true church established to stand as a beacon for all - always ready to add to the good in other faiths and people, providing the fulness necessary to prepare individuals and families for the second coming of Christ and beyond.

How I live my faith

I serve as a counselor to the bishop of our congregation. It is a great opportunity to also work with the youth in our area and help provide assistance for families and individuals in need. I enjoy sharing my beliefs with others and building friendships with neighbors - most of whom are not of my faith. Scouting was an important part of my youth and I look forward to helping my four boys benefit from that program and experience. I enjoy serving in the community - usually through initiatives of my church and my employer. I support the military and the many sacrifices they make for me and my country. I believe one the most important ways I can contribute to society is to assure my children are taught correct principles, Christian values, and how to work and provide for themselves and others.
