Hi I'm Samuel Vargas

I'm from Texas, I'm the oldest of 4 amazing siblings and a child of the two best parents in the world! I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a single dad with a little girl that is my world! I served a 2 year mission in New York City which is something I would do again in a heart beat. I'm currently going to school at Brigham Young University-Idaho and I'm getting my Bachelors degree in Business Management with emphasis in Marketing. I absolutely love cars, sports and technology! Most importantly I love the Gospel and what blessings it has brought forth in my life. I couldn't be happier then where I'm at in life right now! I love everyone around me! I love to hang out and I'm open book, seriously ask me anything? Thats me!

Why I am a Mormon

I guess I should start with my two amazing parents! They both came from different south american countries and were initially raised in the catholic denomination until one day they came across two missionaries where they asked why do you do what you do at such a young age? It was then they each were extended an invitation to do what they had been taught all their lives, pray, to find out if the Book of Mormon was truly another witness, along with the Bible, of Jesus Christ. When receiving an answer to their prayer they were baptized in two different places and eventually met each other in one of the many church activities held at the time. After hearing that story directly from them I realized that I shouldn't just accept the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as my religion just because my parents did but that I should take the same invitation they did many years ago and pray. Once I did by the power of Holy Ghost as promised by the Book Of Mormon I felt the peace that many people talk about that sank into my heart and realized I needed to change many things about my character and decided from that point on that I would serve the Lord and be truly converted. I'm not perfect but I can say that I have the tools necessary to be the best disciple of Christ that I can be!

How I live my faith

Currently in my ward I'm brand new so I don't have a calling but I anticipate that the Lord through his servants will ask me to help out in some way and I'm absolutely excited about it!! In past wards I served in helping people hear the message of Jesus Christ and before that I taught teenagers the Gospel in sunday school which honestly was one of my favorite things to do. I especially love how I made it my job to relate to them and help them understand what Christ expected of them in their youth.
