Hi I'm Bre

I was born with Caudal Regression. I am a aspiring Paleontologist and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a first generation college student, a big sister, and I have caudal regression. I grew up in the church, but my family was never really active. That all changed when at the age of 16 I decided that I wanted to go to church again, even if it was on my own. From that point forward my happiness has truly increased precept upon precept and line upon line. I wouldn't trade the peace and understanding I have gained through my faith for anything in the world. This IS happiness. And better yet since my return to church my family has begun to return to the church as well! My faith and knowledge in and of this church has helped me to press forward through the murky dark to a better life that is full of courage and service. I began attending Brigham Young University - Idaho about six months ago and the decision was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I am grateful that Heavenly Father loved me enough to encourage me to come to this school and now I am eager to help others find the wholesome truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter Day Saint because its the only place I have been able to take everything I know and find a place where it fits. I am a knowledge seeker and nothing fills me with more delight than coming to understanding the scriptures on a deeper level. I love that I can seek answers to all my questions and not just religious ones. As it stands Heavenly Father is the best Mathematician, Paleontologist, Chemist, Linguist, and Writer that I have ever had the pleasure to know. I am a Mormon because it is the only logical solution for me. I know my Father lives and I know that his Son died for me so that I can someday rejoin my eternal family and I wouldn't want it any other way.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live my faith daily. It's difficult at times, but usually those times are the times that I stopped truly practicing my faith. I seek to live everyday with a grateful heart because the world is better experienced when the heart is light and patient. I have yet to find anything more powerful that being surrounded with trials and tribulations and still being able to acknowledge the things I have to be grateful for. I live my faith because it makes life easier and it makes me happier. I always am seeking new knowledge so that I can better explain what I believe to people from all walks of life. Knowledge is an indispensable gift that I cherish because true knowledge is understanding and patient. It is willing to patiently express itself, even in a hostile world.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Bre
The Mormon lifestyle is the lifestyle happiness. There is an infinite diversity to how Mormon's live, but there are consistent values we uphold. We seek to do good to all men. We chose to abstain from sexual relations outside of marriage, immoral behavior of any sort (if you have to ask if something is immoral, it usually is. Its easy to tell if something is wholesome or not.), addictive substances like coffee, tea, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and so forth. We seek to lift others up, not to tear others down. In essence we strive to live like Jesus Christ is an active participant in our lives and that he is always with us. So if we wouldn't do something with him standing next to us it would be our goal not to do it at all. Mormon life is all about family. We seek to keep the family unit strong because nothing is more pure or strong as the bonds of a loving family. Our ultimate goal is to one day return to our Father in Heaven and in order to do that we need the strength and surety of a loving family. Show more Show less
