Hi I'm Savannah

I'm a pediatric nurse, I love children! I am studying Human Development at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Savannah Raisor. I was born and raised in Provo, Utah. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University. I am studying Human Development. I work as a pediatric nurse at Utah Valley Pediatrics. I have a great love for learning, the medical field, and developmental studies. I am a musician. I primarily play the flute and have been playing for about 11 years. I also play the piccolo, piano, and guitar. I love to sing. I love music and the spirit it brings into my life. I have 4 siblings; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this Church, and have never wanted to leave. I grew up a full time dancer, and I loved every minute. I fell ill while in the 8th grade. I could no longer walk after rehearsals, and couldn't get out of bed in the mornings. I was eventually diagnosed with Chronic Pain and Fatigue, Pain Amplification Syndrome, and Fibromyalgia. My life drastically changed. I have almost died several times, and through the power of the Priesthood, I am here today. Through the Church and its beautiful Gospel, I have gained confidence that one day, I will be okay again. That someday I will live with no pain. And, in the mean time, I can put all of my trust in the Savior. I know that Christ knows exactly how I feel. He has felt my pain, and atoned for it. I know that Christ walked the earth once, and He will again. I know that through Joseph Smith, Christ's church was re-established on this earth in this dispensation. I know that the power of the Priesthood is real, and it works if we have faith in it. I know that the Book of Mormon are true. The principles taught in it are beautiful and simple, and that the answers to life's toughest and most difficult challenges can be found within. I know that we have living Prophets on the earth today. I know that they receive revelation from our Heavenly Father. I know that we can all receive personal revelation if we have faith in the Lord. I love this Gospel. It is true. There is no way it can't be. It is beautiful, simple, and pure. It is our way home to live with our Heavenly Father once again.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a disciple of Christ in everything I do. I want to be like Him, and walk as He did. I work with many service oriented groups, and I love playing a part in serving others. I try to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in everything I do, and hope to share my testimony with as many people as possible.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, that He lived, that He died, and that He lives again. It is a witness that after He was resurrected, He ministered among His people in the America's. The Book of Mormon is the accounts of many Prophets called by God. These Prophets knew of Heavenly Fathers plan for His children, and of the mission of Jesus Christ. This book supports, and confirms the teachings of the Bible. At the end of the book, there is an invitation to ponder what has been read, and to pray with a sincere heart to know if it is true. It is promised that all who do so, will receive a personal witness by the Holy Ghost that the book is true. Show more Show less
