Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a mom and an actress. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom and in addition to acting I'm also a Lyft driver. I like singing even I drive and having friends over for movie nights.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up not knowing if I believed in God. I WANTED to, but would often times wonder to myself "How do I know if I believe in God? I mean, I guess I do. I WANT to. I'm afraid I'll go to hell if I don't. So if I'm afraid of going to hell for not believing in God, does that mean I DO believe in God?" The thought of death was scary, thinking of it caused anxious feelings. One day there was a knock on my door. It was the missionaries. I had no desire to talk to them. I made up an excuse so they would go away. They asked when would be a good time to come back, I told them the days I would be off work, hoping they would forget. To my surprise I received another visit from them weeks later. This time I felt more comfortable talking to them, maybe bc I'd met them a couple weeks earlier & they were now familiar faces, or perhaps the Holy Ghost was encouraging me to open my heart to them. They invited me to tour the church. I thought it would be nice to start going to church with my son, & it couldn't hurt to tour it, so I agreed. When we went they taught me a bit about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After the tour they wanted to meet weekly. I agreed (as the extent of my knowledge was the basics- Adam & Eve, Satan, Noah's Ark, pray, Jesus Christ being killed on the cross for us, & that's about it) We began having weekly lessons from then on. I started to really look forward to & enjoy them. One day they taught me about the Plan of Salvation. It was so beautiful, & at that point EVERYTHING clicked. It was as though I had already heard it before. I was so excited leaving that lesson that I called my closest family members to tell them all about it! That is when I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the missionaries were speaking truth. That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Christ. I was baptized & joined the Church several weeks later. I'm a Mormon. I know this is His church. I invite you to find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

Every two weeks I help plan and teach activities for the young girls (ages 8-12) in my ward to help them learn and grow to be responsible, kind, loving, Christ-like, strong young women. I also put together "Homeless Kits" filled with food and sanitary essentials to pass out to homeless people in my community.
