Hi I'm Rikki

Born and raised here in Roy, Utah. Crazy, fun, and I love serving the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing and watching soccer and I love to sing! I also love to laugh and smile because that makes other people happy and making other people happy makes me happy. I love to be able to help anyone and everyone that I can because I don't like others not being happy. I also love to share what I have learned from living the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had my fair share of hard times. My dad is recently retired from 24 years in the Air Force and during one of the times he was deployed, my little brother had his first Febrawl seizure which is where a fever can go from 97 and spike to 104 and he becomes unresponsive and stops breathing and it was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life and it was also a time frame where I grew up quite quickly. I needed to be the support for my mom because I was the only one here to help bear the burden. It took me about 4 more years to truly understand I wasn't alone and I didn't need to bear this burden alone because even though no one here on this earth knew how I felt, there was one above the Earth who did: my Savior Jesus Christ. Through his Atonement, I was able to apply it more in my life than to just my sins. The Atonement is meant for pains and heartache and trials and sorrows and afflictions and temptations and so much more. But most of all, in this case, the Atonement of Jesus Christ was for ME. Knowing my Savior was there, and is there, for ME personally and that He knew exactly what burden I was bearing and that if I came unto him, my "burden would be made light." How truly remarkable that statement is. That no matter what I'm going through, what trials I face, what temptations come my way, or what sorrows feel me, my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ is there. He's there to hear and answer my prayers as long as I am willing to turn to Him, ask in faith, believing that I will receive, and willing to act upon my answers. That is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have been the president, 1 counselor, and secretary over some of the young women in our ward, I was a part of preparing for youth conference, and I have participated in multiple choirs within the church and I go to Institute which is like a Seminary for adults. I also assist the youth and my family in family history.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Pray. It truly is as simple as that. (James 1:5) Pray to know it is true and Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers and He will answer yours if you truly seek his guidance and ask with a humble heart, with faith that you will receive an answer. Once you pray, listen to any thoughts or feelings you may have after you pray and in the following days/weeks or however long it takes for you to receive your answer. Heavenly Father says he will put it in your heart and mind by the power of the Holy Ghost who will testify to you of things that are true. Make sure you continue to study and ponder on your question in the days to come so that it is continually on your mind and you are constantly looking for answers in everything you do and feel.
