Hi I'm Lillian Bullard

I was born and raised North Carolina. I attended BYU-Idaho about a year ago and am currently serving as a missionary in Arizona.

About Me

I love being engaged in others lives. My faith, family, and friends are the most important things to me. I am from a small town where there are many good and hard working people. They are mostly Native American and we love to celebrate our traditions and culture. I went to BYU-Idaho in the fall of 2012 and went to school for about a year and a half until I decided to serve a mission for the church and now here I am in Tempe, Arizona!!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the feeling of being able to feel the Spirit in my everyday life. The Spirit testifies of truth and it brings feelings of peace and joy. My parents are both converts to the church and I grew up in the church but there was a period of time when I decided to find out if the church really was true or not although, everything has always made since to me. While I was on this little quest, I realized that true happiness comes from living the gospel and following Jesus Christ. I distinctly remember praying to feel God's love for me in my life and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the right church I should go to and if not, which one? When I asked that, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace that I was in the right place and I didn't have to worry about any other church besides the one I was in. I then decided to stick with the church and when the time came to read the Book of Mormon, I didn't even really want to pray to know if it was true because of the Spirit I felt as I read the Book of Mormon but when I prayed, I felt the confirming witness that the Book of Mormon was true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and the Church was true once again! After that whole incidence, I have never tried to question the church, but to always remember the Spirit I felt when I came to know that the church is true and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am serving as a missionary for the church. As a missionary, we leave our home and our family for 18 months to go to where the prophet has called us and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to those in the area and invite them to come unto Christ.
