Hi I'm Maja

I want to become an architect. I love to take photographs and be outdoors. I'm serving in the Italy Rome Mission, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love photography, I have a real passion not just in producing beautiful photographs but also the technology behind it. I also love to cook, although cleaning up is not the fun part... But eating makes up for it! I also enjoy keeping fit and healthy, and working out at the gym although now as a Missionary I have to be inventive in the ways I keep fit. As an older teenager, I discovered my love for hiking and being outdoors. It started when I travelled to Nepal in 2013, where we hiked up the Ananpurna Mountain to a village called Uri, where we helped to build and maintain a primary school. It was probably my most rewarding experience to date, the children there taught me to love unconditionally and to never take anything for granted. After my mission, I'd love to return to Asia to explore more. Music is another important part of my life, I play the piano, flute and a bit of bass. To me, music is what life sounds like. When I return from Rome, I have a place to study Architecture at University. I am really excited to start this new chapter in my life as I love to learn and create.

Why I am a Mormon

There have been too many times I've seen God's love for me throughout my life and there's no way I can deny that this church is true. Although I was born in the church, I still had develop my own testimony of it, through study, prayer, and faithful action I have come to know that there is no place I'd rather be then serving the Lord. I love my Saviour, Jesus Christ, he has sacrificed so much on my behalf. This Church has given my life light, and so many wonderful opportunities to grow, I hope that others can see the light in my eyes and tell that Christ has changed me for the better.

How I live my faith

There's no way in which I live my faith that's particularly extraordinary, I just try to live a life in harmony with the teachings of Christ, by being charitable towards others and applying the things I learn to become more like Him. At the moment I'm serving as a missionary in the Italy Rome Mission, and there's no place I'd rather be. Everyday I can share this wonderful gospel, whilst being immersed in another culture and having enriching experiences thanks to this Church.
