Hi I'm Tansy

I live in southern Alberta, Canada. I love to play soccer. I am a self-taught ukuleleist. I enjoy a good book. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 17 year old Canadian girl who is in her graduating year of high school. I live with my mother and four other siblings of which I am the oldest. Along with school I am involved with student council, band, and indoor/outdoor soccer. When I am not doing school work or any of my extracurricular activities I am probably reading, playing my ukulele or trying to learn French. Recently I have become really interested in hiking and backpacking and I hope to start doing that a lot more. I also love dancing! No, I do not do it professionally, but it is one of my favorite things to do, just for fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and while I was a child I mostly relied on the testimonies of others. As I reached my teen years I started to struggle with my testimony. I started questioning and doubting everything I had thought was true as a child. I stopped going to church and a darkness seemed to come over my life. After about a year of living this way I decided that the direction I was going was not making me happy and that perhaps I needed to start going back to church. For the first time in my life I had to truly seek for answers and pray to my heavenly father. I started living the gospel and a huge peace and light entered my life. I did not receive a testimony all at once but it happened gradually. Today I have a much firmer faith and my testimony is so much stronger because I had to work with my heavenly father to receive it. I am a Mormon because I wanted to know for myself that this church was true and in the lords own time he touched me through the spirit and confirmed this truth. Oh, how I love this gospel! It brings such comfort and peace to my life. The love I have felt from my saviour is overwhelming and so wonderful! I know that I am a daughter of my heavenly father who loves me, and I love him! I have felt the spirit and know this gospel to be true and this brings such joy to my soul.

How I live my faith

I make sure my actions reflect my faith and my love for my Heavenly Father. I live my faith by sharing my testimony with others through my words and by example. I seek for opportunities to bring the light of Christ into others lives by serving them or perhaps just sharing a smile. I am class president in my Young Womens and I love serving in that calling. I love the girls I get to work with and I think they are all so amazing and a wonderful example to me. I have also become involved with indexing and family history and I absolutely love it! I love the feeling of peace and joy I receive when I am doing the lords work.
