Hi I'm Alan

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church in 1976, Now live in Wolverhampton. Married, three children, eight grandchildren.

About Me

I have had many jobs over the years since leaving school. Working in factories, window cleaning, selling insurance and several other positions. In 1991 I went to university for three years as a mature student studying geography with English followed by one year PGCE which qualified me as a primary teacher. After several years teaching I went to work As an adviser for the local authority supporting ICT. The past two years I have been self employed supporting schools around the country developing the curriculum and training staff.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't really interested in joining the church, but my wife had shown a great interest. After several discussions and no real progress or church attendance, the missionaries asked me to pray about the things they had taught us and if I wanted to spend Eternal life with my family. I agreed to pray, which I did vocally for the first time in my llife. At the end of the prayer I felt this warm feeling and new it was true. 38 years later it is still true and never regret making the decision to get baptised.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had many callings and opportunities to serve, each brings its own challenges and blessings, but from each calling I have experienced personal growth and my testimony has grown.
