Hi I'm Lilly

I grew up in California. I'm a convert and I'm married to my wonderful husband who introduced me to the church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently got married so I don't have children yet. I'm a first year graduate student and balancing, life, school and work. I love to play sports such as soccer, softball, and anything that requires running. I enjoy activities such as playing board games, puzzles, reading, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite thing to do with my husband is watch sports and eat pizza.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints because it's where I knew I needed to be. When I was young growing up in a household of another faith I felt lost, confused, and as though I was missing something. That was the knowledge and truth of the restored gospel. When I read the Book of Mormon I felt deep within my heart the truth. I felt his spirit and the answered to my prayers. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet who restored this gospel on earth. I know without a doubt that our father in heaven appeared to him and restored the priesthood. I know that we have a living Prophet today, who holds the keys of the priesthood. I know that without his guidance the kingdom cannot be built. We have temples on this earth to be sealed with our family and be with them for all eternity. How comforting it is to know our father atoned for us to be able to return back to him. I follow the true gospel because it makes me happy, I know its the Fathers plan, and I know he wants me to be perfect like him. He is our Redeemer and loves everyone of us. He does not forget who we are. He will always guide is on the right path if we obey him and follow his commandments. He forgives all, he loves all and he knows us all.

How I live my faith

I participate in church by going to all the activities and service functions. On Sundays I'm enthusiastic to learn and hear the talks from those who are teaching. I also give my time and service as an assistant activity coordinator. I also visit teach sisters who I love dearly. Reading the scriptures daily is another part of my routine. During my drives for work I also listen to the mormon music channel for uplifting music and talks. I share my knowledge and testimony of the church through media and human interactions. Family Home Evening is another way in which we become closer to God, and keep connected and lift our family and friends.
