Hi I'm Alice

and yes... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the middle child and I have two brothers. I love reading, and if you ask, yes I prefer paper books to e-books. I work part time for a home health company. I'm going to college online, but I have to admit I'm only doing my associates in general studies because I'm still not sure what I want to do. I was born into the church and I have always been a member, though my teenage years were a little iffy. I have been steadfast in my faith ever since. I'm currently working on going on a mission, and I will be honest with you. I'm not perfect, though I do strive to be.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the church has been the happiest thing in my life. I was born into the church and, as we normally put it, I was riding the coattails of my parents testimony. When I became a teenager the trials I faced seemed to get harder and more frequent and my faith was tested many times. There was one point where I honestly didn't know what to do or where to turn when I remembered something I was taught as a young child, that if we come to the Lord with a pure heart, honestly seeking the truth, then the answer will come to us through the Holy Ghost. In my opinion that scripture doesn't just apply to the truth of the Book of Mormon, but every aspect of our lives. As I prayed for help I got a feeling of reassurance, that everything was going to be alright, and I just knew then and there that the gospel was true. That I was where I was meant to be and no matter how many trials come my way, if I put my trust in the Lord, that He will direct my life, I know that it will all work out in the end.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the small and simple things in life. I'll be walking down the street and I will smile, wave, and say hello to people I know or don't know because it can help to brighten up their day. I live my faith by following Jesus Christ's example and striving to be like him. In showing kindness to others and doing service. In sharing my time with those in need I am living my faith.
