Hi I'm Jesse

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona but grow up in Salt Lake City, Utah and yes....I am grateful to be a Mormon

About Me

I live in Utah. I have been divorced twice. Luckily, 36 years ago, I was able to meet and marry a very special and sweet lady; between us we have nine grown boy's, twenty-four grand children and six great-grandchildren. I worked as a maintenance foreman for over 25 years and retired a few years ago. I enjoy working with my hands and love helping others. My wife and I enjoy traveling and we have seen much of the beauties of our country. We like to listen to audio books as we drive. We really enjoy finding and photographing lighthouses, barns, lightning, and nature. We love to spend time one with another and with our family.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a very loving family, I had the opportunity to learn of God and what true happiness is. At the ripe old age of sixteen I came to believe that I knew much more than my earthly father did so I went against everything he would want for me. I spent many years living the ways of the world. My life never seemed to be happy nor did I ever find the piece I was looking for. I always remembered the happiness I know as a child. I finally decided that what I wanted for my family was the knowledge and peace that only our Father-in-Heaven can give. I started reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I found great love and peace in their words. I asked my Father-in-Heaven in prayer if he could find it in his heart to forgive such a wayward child. As I read in the Book of Mormon about the atonement of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I began to understand what the atonement really meant in my life. This brought joy and peace into my heart. I knew that there were many things I needed to change but I also knew that I could feel my Father-in-Heavens love. Now my heart ached for more and I wanted my family to feel this also. After sixty some years of life and all the blessings the I have received. I truly testify that our Father-in-Heaven is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That if we keep his commandments he will richly bless his children and give peace and love freely. I testify that our Father-in-Heaven loves each of us and has given us a plan that we may return and live with him again. That we can become as he is, that through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our redeemer we can find forgiveness of our sins no matter how dark they may seem. That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored by revelation and power from God the Father and Jesus Christ, His only begotten son. That Apostles and prophets lead His church, and through the power and direction of Jesus Christ, lead His church today. In the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints (the Mormons) all my life and am so grateful that my parents taught me the truths of the gospel in my youth. I try to serve the Lord by serving my fellow man. I have served in different leadership positions in my area. This has allowed me to help many of our Father's children in many ways. I enjoyed serving as Scoutmaster and found that the boys can be teachers to their leaders as the boys learn to obey the word of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I now serve in the Temple (a very sacred House to the to our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ) with my eternal companion and find this calling to be the greatest of all. The more we learn and understand of our Father-in-Heavens plan for us, the greater our desires to live his commandments, and the greater our joy is in helping others.
