Hi I'm Robbie Wolsey

I have lived in Utah my entire life. I pole vault. I went to lone peak high school and am a proud knight. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I started high school i learned about my love for cooking/baking. I took every class my schooled offered on the subject. I later joined my schools track team where I discovered my love to pole vault. Although I was no good at it, I still competed as much as I could. I have worked at a grocery store for my entire working life. I went from being a bagger with no responsability to being a supervisor in charge of most of the store in about a year. I have a very loving family with three older siblings and two younger. I love serving. My english teacher of my senior year of high school assigned me to make a difference in our community. I decided that this was my chance to really do something that i loved. Me and another girl in this class lead our team to earning several thousand dollars for orphanages in Haiti and Ghana. Through several events we held I learn what it means to be a leader and what it means to serve. I will never forget the experience of handing the oversized check to the owners of those orphanages. I love nothing more than to serve. Oh, and did I mention I love architecture?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i want to be. I have several experiences that have very clearly told me that this is the correct path to have taken in my life. I was born and raised in the church, but that does not mean I dont have a conversion story. I do. When I was 16 I really started to doubt the truth behind the church. I had been living off of my parents testimony. One day I had gotten really upset and was unsure of my parents love, and my Heavenly Father's love for me. I had done the standard teenager thing to do and I stormed in to my room. But this time I decided that I wouldn't just hop into my bed and try to forget everything. But rather I would kneel down and say a prayer (at point of my life I did not pray super regularly). I prayed that I would be comforted and that I would be able to see the good in my day. I prayed that I would know of God's love for me and that my parents would know of my love for them. When i stood up from this prayer I hopped onto my bed and started to try to take a nap. When I rolled over to check the time on the clock, I saw a letter my mother and father had written to me years ago for a youth activity. I had completely forgotten about this letter and decided that I should reread it. This letter mentioned many things and assured me that my father in heaven loved me and that my parents loved me. It told me that I should never give up on trying to be the best I can be. That was the moment that I knew that I was where I am suppose to be, A happy member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Everyday I strive to be my best. I live my faith by doing what I know I need to know. At times that may be to show up early to church to help set up chairs. Other times that may be mowing the lawn of an elderly couple in my ward. Or something as little as just faithfully saying family prays day and night.
