Hi I'm Ainsley

I grew up in Utah. I have a degree in Accounting and Culinary Arts. I live in Michigan. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are living in Michigan while he finishes his Masters/Ph.D. I am working full-time right now while he is in school. We are hoping to start a family in the next few years. In my spare time I love to start projects (mostly finish them eventually), go for walks and jogs when it isn't freezing cold outside, cooking and baking when I find a spare minute, reading a good book in a hot bath, and my favorite date is to go to dinner and a movie, as clique as that sounds. We love spending time with the wonderful friends we have made in Michigan and miss our friends and family who are far away.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings joy and peace into my life that I can't find anywhere else in this world. It is a lasting happiness that I know goes beyond this life. I focus more on the eternal perspective than the right here and right now. I know that we have a Father in heaven who is indeed our Father and He loves us more than we will ever comprehend. I know that when I am choosing the right and making good decisions, my life seems easier. Not that I don't face trials or hard times, because we all do, but when I am praying and focus more on having faith rather than fear, the trials and hard times are easier to handle. We don't have to face this life alone. We have a Savior who came to earth and suffered and died for us so that He could help us navigate through this life. I know that He lives and I know that He will return one day and that "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess" that He is Jesus Christ. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it provides guidance for me in my life. The scriptures and our living prophet provide counsel and comfort during my times of need. I know, as strongly as I know that the sun rises each morning, that my Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers and that He will hear and answer each and every one of our sincere prayers. You just have to try it. I love this Church and I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In our Church, I am in charge of teaching the girls ages 12-18. We have meetings together every Sunday and we participate in an activity once a week to do service or get together just to have fun. I live my faith by trying to be an example to those I come in contact with and by being kind to everyone, just as Christ taught us to do. I try to find opportunities to serve and help those who may be going through a hard time and need a friend. I find that I am so much happier when I am living my faith and thinking more about others than my own problems.
