Hi I'm Mariah

I grew up in Oregon. I am a certified Dental Assistant and Radiographer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 2014 High School Graduate, and Dental Assisting Graduate. My hobbies include, camping, biking, cooking, and kayaking. I grew up in the Pacific North West and someday hope to return to live there. I'm a supporter of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, after undergoing 8 hip surgeries myself. I was called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Northern Denver Colorado area. I will be learning Spanish in the Mexico Missionary Training Center for a duration of 6 weeks, then will proceed to Colorado for the remainder of 18 months. I will leave for my mission on January 7, 2015 and will return in June 2016. I enjoy spending time with my family, and supporting my siblings by attending their various sports events. My faith and family are the two most important things in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with my parents being devout Mormons. As I've gotten older and had to make decisions on my own, I have asked my self several times, "what do I believe in"? I believe that there is a God who loves me and cares about me. I know this because during life changing situations I have prayed to God for comfort and I have received the reassurance that I needed. I believe that there is a living Prophet on the earth today who receives modern revelation from God. I know that families can be together forever through my Heavenly Father's wonderful Plan of Salvation. I know I am a happier person because my beliefs and faith are centrally focused on God.

How I live my faith

There are several ways I live my faith. I enjoy attending service projects in my community as often as I can. I attend The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and through that I was asked to be a ward missionary. As a ward missionary I enjoy frequently going out with other missionaries from our church and attending their teaching lessons based on the principals of our faith. In my free time I go visiting teaching with my mother, and during this time, we visit women that attend our church and share messages about our beliefs.
