Hi I'm Hannah Hervey

I am a young wife and mother who just moved to a new city. We are far from our families but hopeful about our future here!

About Me

My husband and I met in college at BYU fell in love fast and got married in the Salt Lake City temple. We were very close with our families and loved them very much but decided that we needed to start a life of our own and new that The Lord needed us else where. So after my husband graduated we took the first job that took us away from home and provided new experiences and opportunities. So we headed east. We have lived in Louisiana (where our daughter was born) and recently moved to Kansas City. I am so excited to learn to love the place we live in! I am also excited to meet new people around me and be able to touch other peoples lives and they them touch mine as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that it is the true church of God. I was raised a mormon and always new that this church was true because it is centered around Jesus Christ. He is not only the center of the church but the center of my life. Because of Jesus Christ I can be happy, I can love others, I can forgive others. Because of Jesus Christ I can be forgiven and work harder to be a better person. Because of Jesus Christ I can return to love with God again because of his atoning sacrifice. Because of Jesus Christ I know I am loved. I am luckily to have the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in my life. All aspects of the Gospel of Jesus Christ bring me perfect joy. And the knowledge that I can be with my husband and daughter and family forever even after we die is incredible! What more could I ask for? That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying all the time. I am constantly praying to my Father in Heaven to help me with this or guide me to that. I pray when I wake up and I pray right before bed. I also love my fair through the scriptures. The Scriptures give me the power and peace I need to get through each day. They also give me answers to my prayers and guidance that I sometimes didn't know I needed. I love going to church every Sunday with my church family. I love feeling apart of something and feeling the love of others around me there. I love searching my fellow church members and hope that I can make a difference in their lives as much as they do mine. I am grateful that I love in a country where I free to worship how I want and where I want. I am also grateful that no matter where my husband I live, we will always have the church and the members to welcomes us with open arms.
