Hi I'm Anna

I'm 20 years old, I'm a wife and a mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in southeast Wisconsin. I am the second youngest of six children in my family. I was never bored growing up, someone always had someone to pick on or laugh with. I moved to Provo, Utah where my sister lives as my husband served a mission in Salt Lake City for two years, and when he got home we were married and sealed in the Chicago temple and started our family right away. We have a beautiful little son, and I can't imagine life without him. I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, studying natural healing, spending time with my family, and being a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned at a very young age to rely on the Lord. Growing up I was an extremely shy person. I had lifelong anxiety, and it effected my ability to make friends, and perform daily activities. It humbled me. God answered my prayers as I pleaded with Him, and tried to exercise my faith in Him. I gained a testimony of prayer because I felt the sweet peace that the spirit brings as I looked for comfort. I read from the Book of Mormon, and I felt the spirit as I read it. I knew that the spirit could not lie, it only speaks the truth. I know that the book must be true! I continued to seek my Heavenly Father instead trying to seek the things of the world to bring me happiness. I continued to struggle with trials and heartaches, but I never lost that testimony. I stayed firm in the faith, and I grew even closer to God as I put my trust in Him. I made mistakes. I've felt the tears of guilt and despair turn into tears of joy and peace because of the atonement of Jesus Christ. Continually as I put each gospel principle to the test, I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of them. I love the Lord, I love His gospel. I love my savior, He is my friend and my comforter. He is with us every step of the way as we look to Him and keep His commandments.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to act on what I believe. As I keep the commandments of God, I feel the spirit manifesting the truthfulness of His gospel, and His commandments. I choose to follow the prophet, because I know he is called of God. I choose to go to church every week. Right now I am a supervisor of a few women in our congregation. They report to me of the well-being of each woman they visit on a monthly basis. I then report that information to my supervisor if there are any specific needs of the women that need to be addressed. It is wonderful to me because I know each woman in the church can feel loved and cared for.
