Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Utah. I received my Young Women's Medallion and Honor Bee while in High School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, write, sing, and play the piano. I graduated from High School and am currently preparing to serve a mission! I take nature photos on my spare time at parks or in the mountains, or wherever I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon Church, so it always seemed like I was just expected to live the Lord's standards, no questions asked. But as I entered my teenaged years, I soon learned that was pretty impossible to do. I asked questions, I learned more about the gospel, I read the Book Of Mormon, I did everything I could to learn if the Church was true. I was only 12, but I soon learned, and am continuing to learn, that this Church is true, and that I am truly happy when I follow the Lord's commandments. I leaned it's ok to ask questions, as long as you ask the Lord, and He will answer you truthfully. But you must remember to ask.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through many ways. I was the president in my Young Women's class and was able to receive two awards--the Young Women Medallion and Honor Bee--which is given to girls who complete a set of requirements and 80+ hours of service. I dress modestly, and make sure to keep my language clean.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes, as long as it is translated correctly. The Bible has many amazing teachings and prophets to learn from. Show more Show less
