Hi I'm Trevor

I grew up in Hawaii. I've been married for 4 years and I have a 1 year old son. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm just your typical guy from your typical family. I grew up playing many sports, such as soccer, baseball, wrestling, rugby, snowboarding, and others. I love to travel! I've been all over Europe, Asia, Central America, the Carribean, and almost every state in the US. I've done most my travelling on cruise ships and believe that's the best way to travel. :) I went to college and got my degree in Economics/Japanese and love the Japanese culture/food. I come from a big family. I have 7 siblings and we are all married with kids. I'm up to 20 nieces/nephews with more on the way. I've been married for 4 years and have a wonderful, courageous, bold, funny 1 year old. Outside of work, he takes up all my time. We love to go on family hikes, and play outside as much as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of this church my entire life. But it wasn't until I was 8 years old that I truly became converted. I remember I brought one of my good friends to church with me one day and he wasn't a member of our faith. This Sunday just happened to be Fast Sunday, where members of the church have the opportunity to bare their testimony in front of the entire congregation. My friend asked me if he could go up and bare his testimony. When he got up to bare his testimony, he shared his feelings on how I've been such a good friend and how he loved being at church. He loved how nice everyone was and really felt something "different". After he bore his testimony, I felt compelled to share my testimony. The spirit was so strong that I was brought to tears and had a confirmation that this was the Lord's Church. I've had countless experiences of the spirit testifying to me of the truthfulness of this church. I can not deny it and I can not shun it. Every week that I attend church, I have the same confirmation to the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This renews my soul and spirit to become a better person and try to become more like Christ. I know that God restored His church to the earth through Joseph Smith. And that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that as try to become more like Christ, we can become better people and servants in His work. I know the only way to gain true happiness is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I've been active in the church my entire life. Thanks to parents who took me to church every week and to all activities. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the effect it has had on my life and my family's life. I read my scriptures daily and pray daily. My wife and I try to incorporate the church as much as possible into our growing family. Our 1 year old loves going to church and bringing happiness to everyone else. Growing up the in the church, I don't know what else I would do on Sunday's besides attending my church meetings. I love talking to people about my faith and what it means to me. I believe our faith shapes our lives and our values and without them, we merely would be travelling lost in this life.
