Hi I'm Daniel Salazar

Hey! I'm from Utah and my family is from Ecuador. I love rugby and my friends and family. I am serving a mission in Seoul Korea.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the Korea Seoul South Mission. I left on September 24th, 2014 and plan on returning September 24th, 2016 or sooner to catch the fall semester of college. When I return I am going to play rugby for the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and also get my degree there. I love to hang out with friends and spend time with family. My family consists of an amazing mother and an older brother. I love languages and am so grateful that I am learning Korean to have along with English and Spanish. I love learning in general actually! Gaining knowledge of any kind is always helpful and useful. I also really enjoy music and of all kinds but mostly hip-hop/rap. Wu-Tang-Clan is my favorite group and they are my favorite because they are so much more then just a rap group. Read The Tao of the Wu and The Wu-tang Manual to learn further.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a lot of reasons. I grew up in the church with my immediate family but then we all became inactive when I was 12. I decided to take seminary in 9th grade and then I decided to become active again, but this time it was on my own. For 1 year I was active and then I had to get a job and I had to work on sundays. I was back and forth for a few years then at one point my senior year I realized I wanted to go on a mission and if that was going to happen I needed to go to church again. I have had the most amazing blessings in the church and it has truly made me a happy person. I have encountered feelings with the Holy Ghost enough times to where I could recognize it and listen to it. I know there is a God, I know Jesus Christ lives. I have had too much evidence in my life to not believe this church is true. I am to the point were it's clear, what I know is true and now it is my turn to spread the gospel and invite others unto Christ. That is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I recently became active again in my church. Its been 10 months since Ive been attending weekly again and it basically cost me my job. I was a weekend server at a 4 star restaurant making high above minimum wage for a high schooler. I gave up working sundays and eventually was placed on call. I've attended almost every week since 2014 started and I've done my best to participate in things of my ward. I love my ward members and everyone is so kind to my family and I. I hope to become more active with the youth when I return from my mission.
