Hi I'm Destiny

I have grown up in California. I love my family, laughter, and my Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

i am a convert to this church. I am the oldest of three, I have two younger brothers. I love spending time with my family. I spent my youth as a cheerleader and as a member on the Executive Cabinet of an Associated Student Body. I then went to college in Idaho where I continue to serve on the Student Representative Council and major in Communications. I am preparing to serve a mission in Missouri and am passionate about helping others and love to meet new people. Some say I have an old soul, nothing beats a firm hand shake and a long talk.

Why I am a Mormon

When I came into this gospel I was a broken soul. I felt alone and sad. I was at a point in life where I was making many life altering decisions and I knew that there had to be a better way. This gospel was the answer to all my heart aches and confusion. I have never felt happier or more at home. I have found love, peace, and a relationship with the best friend a girl could ask for, Jesus Christ. I was able to leave behind all the weight I had felt on my shoulders and push towards the light. I felt the redeeming love pierce through my course shell. It gave me wings. I fear no man and know that even at the darkest points a brighter dawn is on the horizon. I am a Mormon because I need the Savior in my life. I need his love and mercy. I need his hand to hold and shoulder to cry on. At the end of the day I know he will always be there for me. I am a Mormon because I know that through this gospel no perosn is too far gone or tarnished, the Savior knows better than anyone that from black coal comes shining diamonds. I am a Mormon because this gospel has shown me that families can be together forever. I am a Mormon because I have testimony of his atonement, The Book of Mormon, and his Plan of Happiness.

How I live my faith

This is a church led and founded on the life of Jesus Christ. Everything I am and hope to be is in the hands of my Savior. Thus I try to pattern my life around his teachings and commandments. I attend my church meetings every Sunday and keep that a day clear of other plans so I can focus on him. I remember his sacrifice daily and am always looking for someone in need of a helping hand. I live life trying my best to volunteer and use my time to serve others. It doesn't have to be some grand gesture or back breaking effort. I find I feel closest to my faith by doing the simple things. Being a friend to the friendless and offering a sincere smile that could be the beacon of light someone may need.
