Hi I'm Dennis

I was raised in Wyoming. After a wonderful career I am retired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life has been good, the majority of which has been shared with a marvelous companion. Having 3 children has been exciting and fulfilling. Now we are enjoying our grandchildren. After growing up in the Big Horn Basin in Wyoming, I had the opportunity to serve a mission for my church. This was followed by college and service in the military. After several years of running our own business, a position with the Federal Government was made available and the next 30 plus years were spent in civil service. Germany was our home base for 13 of those years. This proved to be a great blessing as we were able to experience other cultures and people. We saw firsthand the sacrifices made by our military and their families. It was a privilege to work with them. Since retiring 3 years ago, our time has been spent with our children and grandchildren. Gardening has consumed the warmer months of the last 3 years.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel and the church have been a part of my life since childhood. My ancestors sacrificed much to ensure their descendants had the opportunity to exercise their faith and live their lives as they desired. My family was a great example of what it meant to follow the Savior. They had little in worldly wealth, but shared what they had with anyone in need and were generous to all. I learned from them what true service means. As I acted on the principles that were being taught, my understanding increased. Inspiration comes when worthily sought. Guidance is given to those who actively seek it. The Savior said: Seek and ye shall find. Ask and it will be given. Many question the need for a living prophet. But God has always worked through those he has chosen. By their fruits you shall know them. The Church is amazing and few realize the lives that are blessed because of all that is done.

How I live my faith

Religion has always been a part of my life. But over the years, the significance of the Church and the gospel has increased. It is fun to be involved. Associating with good people (in and out of the church) has been a wonderful experience. There is so much to learn from others. My greatest joy has come from my family. Raising 3 children has been a challenge, but was doable because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Modern day apostles and prophets provided guidance and direction to us as parents. The scriptures answer questions. Now it is time to share this information with others.
