Hi I'm David

I love my family, friends and Savior. Im forever grateful for their love/care. I love rugby, outdoors, and speak Lao. Im a Mormon

About Me

I love anything that has to do with the outdoors. Fishing, archery, running, biking, hunting, playing guitar, rock climbing, rugby, soccer, jiu jitsu, etc. I love all types of art because I love to draw, paint, and do photography. I absolutely love the ocean and want to travel abroad and help those in need. I love to travel even though I haven't done much of it and explore the world. I love writing and thinking of stories and reading books. Most of all I love my family, friends and our Lord with all my heart and want to do whats best for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church and always knew in my heart whether I accepted it or not that this church and gospel was true, but in my early teenage years I didn't choose to follow the rules or go to church. I didn't understand it all and found it easier at times to not follow the commandments, but also found that I was never happy and always felt like something was missing in my life and oddly never strayed to far from church or looking to find faith again. Because of the support of my friends and family and the mercy of our Heavenly Father I slowly got back to where I should be and who I should be. It took three months of reading and praying and putting trust in the Lord showing Him I truly wanted this. As time progressed I found I was so much happier, things were becoming easier and found the happiness and testimony that comes from our Redeemer Jesus Christ and have found what has been missing for so long in my life. Happiness, compassion, forgiveness, trust, hope, and love. I hope those that read this can find it too, I have no regrets only true hope and joy in life for finding this change and thanks in those that helped me and always believed in me and kept me going.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving each day to keep the commandments of God and have compassion for all those around me. I read my scriptures daily to understand and cherish the words of The Lord and bring joy into my life and look for ways to bring joy into others lives. I currently serve in the Oakland/San Francisco Mission speaking Laotian. I love this Mission and people with all my heart! Most of all I pray every morning and night to seek for guidance from our loving Heavenly Father to do what He would want me to do.
