Hi I'm Matt Gubler

I'm a photographer, basketball fan, and Rochester missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So basically, I have two main loves of my life at the moment: the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Utah Jazz. So first, the last thing. Let me ask you one question: How can you not love an under dog? That is exactly what the Utah Jazz is. An eternal under dog. There's just about nothing better then going to Delta Center, or Energy Solutions Arena, or Vivint Safe Home Arena or whatever it's called and getting an expensive cheeseburger and watching some good old Jazz basketball. For some reason they always beat really good teams and lose to really bad ones. It's part of the drama of the Utah Jazz that will always keep you on the edge of your seat. Two words: Jazz. Bear. Best mascot in the world. Get out of here Benny the Bull and Cosmo the Cougar. And as for the fact that they haven't won a championship, let me refer you to the scriptures: Ether 12:6. "I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." The day of miracles hasn't ceased brothers and sisters! Now that I've got you converted to the Jazz, let me tell you about the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is true. I have seen it change people's lives. There's nothing more to say than that. If you will follow Jesus Christ and keep His commandments, you will be happy. It is what the whole world is looking for. I love the gospel. I love my Savior. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it's all true. This church has the fullness of the gospel. If you exercise your faith and read the Book of Mormom with a prayerful heart you will see the same thing!

How I live my faith

I'm living my faith by serving a 2 year mission. I live in New York and teach people about the gospel. I chose to leave my family and my personal affairs because I love the gospel so much! Mormon missionaries don't get payed! It's completely voluntary and I love it. I always try to remember the Lord's two greatest commandments: Loving God and loving others. When we do that everything else falls into place!! I live my faith by loving people and helping them come to Christ. We can all do that regardless of who you are and what you do.
