Hi I'm Dallin

I love history and medicine. I am serving a mission to Wisconsin speaking Hmong. I love my family! I'm a Mormon, and I love it!

About Me

I recently completed my first semester at Brigham Young University - Idaho, and I am aiming to attend medical school and become an Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon. I love history, particularly military history. I love my brothers and sisters, as well as my wonderful parents, and I love spending time with them. I love soccer, playing the piano and building with LEGOs and Lincoln Logs with my brothers. I am serving a mission to Wisconsin speaking Hmong, and I love it! I love the Lord and His gospel. I am so grateful to be a part of it, and I am exited to share it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was and is a Prophet of God, and every Prophet down to Thomas S. Monson are true Prophets of God. I know this of myself. I have prayed about it, and I have had the truth of it confirmed to me by the Holy Ghost. I am not perfect, that is obvious to me every day, but the Lord Jesus Christ, my dear Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost work every day in my life to help me become better. I am a Mormon because God loves me and I love Him. He wants to make me the very best He can. I want to serve others, live like Him, and follow His word. I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ has paid for my sins so that I could be forgiven and improve myself each and every day, and it is such a blessing to be part of it. I am a Mormon because I am happy when I obey God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to live like Christ every day. I want to become better, and I seek to learn from the scriptures, God's servants on this earth, and the Holy Ghost. Every day is a new opportunity to learn and become better. I try to be forgiving of everyone, myself included, and be tolerant of others. I also strive to spend time with my brothers, and I have come to love them so. Serving them and others has let me love them as Christ does, and it is such a privilege to learn and grow while trying to live gospel principles. I am strengthened and taught by living the gospel each and every day, and I know I can find peace through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

When we are baptized, we promise God that we will follow Him and receive His word. We promise to bear His Son's name always and to strive to be obedient. In return, God promises to help us and provide us forgiveness for our sins through the Atonement of Jesus Christ if we repent. We are baptized to show God that we are committed to follow Him, and He can trust us enough to bless us to be clean. Show more Show less
