Hi I'm Kaylee Lofthouse

I grew up in Idaho. I love to run in the summer and ski in the winter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of four kids. We love doing outside activities like camping, hiking, and skiing. I have also picked up the love of running. I ran a half-marathon last spring. I love running because there's always room for improvement. I am able to amaze myself through hard work. Another activity I love doing with my family is playing our musical instruments. I've played the cello for 9 years. When my siblings get together we love to play hymns. Music is a way to express myself. I've spent the last two semesters at Brigham Young University Idaho, and I'm taking a break to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vancouver, Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always grown up in the Church, but conversion is a thing that is continual. Christ is the way. Through living His gospel, I find happiness. Because I feel that happiness I want to share it with others. I know that God lives and loves all His children. Christ came to this earth and lived and died for us. Through Him we can return back to our Heavenly Father and feel pure joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. Probably the biggest thing I've done so far is decide to serve as a missionary for the LDS Church in Vancouver, Canada. I've spent my whole life preparing for this calling, even if I didn't know it at the time. When I was a teenager, I served for my Church on a few different youth committees to help with trips and events for the youth in my area. There I learned the importance of serving others. A big part of serving an LDS mission is that you teach God's children the message of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I've had the opportunity to teach other students attending BYU-Idaho as a Sunday School teacher. I didn't mind spending the time preparing the lessons because I learned so much about the scriptures and I knew I was helping other people. Because I have studied and lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ my whole life I know I will be able to share the truths I've come to know with the people in Vancouver. I am excited to help others come unto Christ.
