Hi I'm Kenneth Larsen

I am from Denver Colorado. I did various sports in high school along with choir and I loved hanging out with friends.

About Me

Hello my name is Kenneth and I'm from Denver Colorado. I enjoy hiking and being outside and growing up in Colorado must have fostered that. Before I started college I served a two year mission in Sonora Mexico. Currently I am a College student studying and majoring in Computer Information Technology with a minor in Business and Economics. During college I went through military training at Fort Knox Kentucky with the U.S. Army. Also during during college I worked in Silicon Valley as a Software Developer on the American Express mobile development team. Currently I work for Idaho National Laboritory on the Big Data and Visualization team modeling nuclear reactors and helping the Department of Homland Security. After college I would like to go work for Aerospace companies that develop technologies for spacecraft. I enjoy being around people that are positive and that help me see all the good that people have in them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that was LDS but I still had to find my own testimony of Christ and of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It wasn't until i was 19 years old that i began to seriously contemplate what I was doing here on earth. What my direction was and my purpose. I began to pray and ask God what i should do and how I could know what was right for me in my life. As I prayed during lunch one day, I felt a peace that surpassed all my understanding and I knew that this church was true and that their is a God and that I am his child. My answer to all my questions did not all come at once. It has taken time but I have come to know through my studies and personal prayer that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by uplifting those around me here at college and at home. I try to uplift those who are having a hard time in their classwork or who don't understand certain topics. College can be hard and I am grateful for those who have supported me as I have studied and learned here at College. I try to help remind others to read scriptures which give us daily comfort and guidance.
