Hi I'm David

I play cello and accordion. I love singing and performing. I am a mormon.

About Me

Music is a big part of my life. Though it won't be my major in college, I have performed on the cello for half of my life. I actually started on the violin, but I couldn't stand it. All I wanted was to play with the cello. It took a long time to get to the point where I am now. I also play accordion. When my grandpa passed away, I found out he was actually part of a band in his younger years, and I inherited his old accordion. The instrument is almost 90 years old but it still works. Mostly I play church music on it, but I wrote a satire using the accordion and won my high school talent show. During high school I was in Musical Theater and enjoyed acting a number of roles for the plays we put on. I was Gaston in beauty and the beast. That is all in the past now and soon I will be on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was lucky. I was born into a family of faithful followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings. At times I have doubts, but I feel as if I have always had a testimony of the Gospel and the Book of Mormon. I can't Imagine my life without having my faith at the forefront of who I am. I know that being a Mormon or Latter-Day-Saint has saved me.

How I live my faith

Most of the time, I do the best I can to work hard and reach out to other people. But I have found that no amount of service I can give amounts to what I get in return. That is what the Latter-Day-Saint church is about.
