Hi I'm Taylor Holden

I'm from Utah (big shocker right?) A fun-loving guy and I love to laugh! I claim to be weird and I'm proud of it! I'm a mormon. :)

About Me

I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Washington State. I am the second oldest of four kids. One of my younger brothers we adopted when he was 12 years old and it's awesome! I love singing and playing piano! Of all my hobbies though, my favorite is just being a goofy guy and being myself. That's my favorite thing is to laugh. Other hobbies I like is playing video games and I claim to be very good at them. I also claim to be super weird and I'm not ashamed of it. :D I love being myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restored church that Christ Himself organized on the earth. I am so privileged to have all the blessings my Heavenly Father has given me. I have a wonderful family and we will be a forever family because of our faith in Christ. I know that this church has a living prophet on the earth today Thomas S. Monson. I know that God has called a prophet to lead us and guide us even in these modern times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others. Even after my full-time missionary service is over I hope to be able to have opportunities to help those around me to feel of the love Jesus Christ has for them. I know there is true joy in this life that we receive through the knowledge of our identity as children of God. Helping others is how we find ourselves. Christ is the best example we have. I love Him.

What is the First Vision?

Taylor Holden
In 1820 a young man of only 14 wanted to know which church to join. He had a simple question, What should I do? "What church should I join?" He read in James 1:5 that says, "if any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God." He knew he needed wisdom and he put James' challenge to the test. He asked his Maker. He knelt in a grove of trees near his home and he prayed with real intent to know what he needed to do and which church he should join. The first vision is what happened in that moment of prayer. He saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ who appeared to him and called him to be a prophet. That the authority of the church Jesus Christ established in the New Testament was lost and that he, Joseph Smith, would be called as prophet to help re-establish that church. That church is known today as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Show more Show less
