Hi I'm hunter

I'm a college student, I've worked with kids most of my life. I was an LDS missionary for two years in the country of El Salvador

About Me

I am currently a college student, 24 years old, working to become a teacher. I love history particularly and have studied it for a good few years now. I plan on getting a masters and probably a PhD. I'd love to travel the world and gain experience to become a college professor eventually. I'd probably specialize in one of the following: Slavery in America, The Middle East, or Ancient civilizations in Europe. The biggest highlights of my life, I feel, are the ones that have to do with overcoming personal, inner-challenges, particularly: Depression, extreme shyness, anxiety over the future, loneliness, and many others. When I was an adolescent, I dealt with the majority of these things, but was able to overcome all of them to some degree or another. My mom had a great part in it. So did my dad. My relationship with God however, was key and at the heart of the entire transformation I undertook. If you shook hands with me 10 years ago and now, you'd see two people with entirely different expected outcomes in life. When I was a young teen, I was scared, depressed, and whatever optimism for the future I did have was shrouded in worry and fear. Nowadays, I have a fascination to how many opportunities I feel are around me and what the future holds. I am more friendly than most people on the block and get to know people very quickly rather easily. Considering everything that's changed for the better in my life, it's easy to see, God has helped me every step of the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I consider myself one of the happiest people on earth, and God has everything to do with it, along with what I've learned from this church. I've met the nicest people, had the questions of my soul answered, and had something to hold onto during the most difficult times throughout my life. I know that God lives and that he answers prayers his children say to him. I also know that this church is true, because it's something I've prayed about. I got an answer. I know if anyone were to replicate this action in their own form, they would receive their own answer appropriate to the way that would benefit them most. God knows his children, and how to communicate with them. When we search for him, he teaches us how to listen.

How I live my faith

In the congregation which I attend, I organize activities for the people who attend our congregation as well as for those who wish to come as guests. My biggest goal is to help people come together, feel welcome, and make friends. I go out of my way to get to know as many people as I possibly can, and to increase interaction to a maximum in and out of church. From people come the best things in life, and we ought not to shut them out of ours.
