Hi I'm Elder Joe Gallegos

I'm 22 years young. I love my family, good food, and a close game. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Joe. I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. I enjoy watching and playing basketball, football, baseball, and soccer. I am an avid snowboarder during the winter. I love to travel and listen to music. My family is awesome. My friends are some of the best. And oh, how I love some good food!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family but through the years of growing up, I started to fall away. I ran through the motions of going to Church, but that was all. I moved from home to the city and started living my own lifestyle away from my family and the church. I thought I was happy but after a while it felt like there was definitely something missing in my life. I saw how happy my family was, so I decided I was going to find out if the church was true for myself. I found the missing piece. I asked my Heavenly Father, through prayer, if the church was true and I got an answer. I have no doubt in my mind that this is Christ's church on the Earth today. I've never been so happy. You will find pieces of this happiness in different Christian churches, but the fullness the Gospel gives you a whole different level of happiness and peace. That is what I have experienced in my last year of being active. Too many amazing things have happened to me in the last year while living the Gospel to say that they have been coincidences. I love this Church!

How I live my faith

I hold my faith very close to my heart. The way I strive to live my faith is by following and trying to become more like the Savior. I have friends from all sorts of different faiths and I just try to set an example at all times in all places. I love to answer questions that people have regarding my own faith and I would hope that my actions in my day-to-day life reflect those of someone who is trying to follow the Savior!
