Hi I'm Brittany Layton

I grew up in Canada. I love the performing arts, playing rugby, and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I come from a big loud, blended family and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I love holidays, especially the food because my family is very multicultural so we enjoy Filipino food, Dutch food, western food and Caribbean food. I love musical theatre because it includes three of my favourite things: singing, dancing, and acting. I also love playing sports, especially rugby. I enjoy listening to music and trying new things. I also enjoy learning about other cultures so I am hoping I get to travel the world someday. I am currently serving as a missionary in the New York Rochester Mission which includes the church historic sites in Palmyra and Fayette, I will return in August 2016 and I love being a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has given me the knowledge that God has provided us a way for families to be together for ever. When my Lola (grandma) passed away I had a very hard time, but knowing that I would be able to see her again brought me great comfort. Being a Mormon has brought me nothing but happiness and joy in my life and my family's life, which is such a blessing. I know that this gospel is true and I am so grateful that I was baptized. I know that when I make a mistake I am able to repent through the atonement of Jesus Christ. The church brings me so much happiness and it is definitely where I belong.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best person I can be. I always remember to put my trust in Lord when life gets hard or when I can't make a decision. When I put my trust in the Lord, I know that everything will be okay. I also know my standards and I know what my Heavenly Father expects of me. I obey the commandments, because I want to and because I know that the Lord has and will bless me for doing so.
