Hi I'm Kadie

I grew up in Northern California. I am a mom to 3 amazing, active boys. 4, if you include my husband (I do!) I am a mormon!

About Me

I am a mom to 3 fantastic boys. I am blessed to get to stay home and be with them every day! Before I was a mom I attended BYU Provo and got my B.S. in Psychology. I have lived in a few different states but now reside in Texas and love it! I picked up photography a few years ago mainly to take pictures of food for my food blog. Along with photography, I also love art. My favorites are watercolor and colored pencil. I am a lover of a good book and really good food! My parents joined the church when I was six. We are a product of missionary work. What a blessing the gospel is to me in every aspect of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a mormon. There have been miracles in my life that have been brought about by sincere prayer and faith. It isn't always easy to be mormon or to be righteous in a world where evil continues to grow, but I would be so lost without the gospel in my life. There is a peace and happiness that comes from living this gospel. I have felt my Heavenly Father's presence, love and comfort many times. I believe Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and that it is meant for us in these latter days. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today and that he talks to God and receives instructions and directions for all of us. I know that my family can be together forever. I know that our Heavenly Father knows us each individually, by name and that we are His children and that He loves us more then we will ever know! These beliefs didn't come all at once, or easily. It has been a journey for me. A lot of ups and downs, struggles, hardships and miracles. I have a long way to go but I know that the end will be more than worth it. I know that there are wonderful things to come after this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in a very real, everyday way. We read scriptures with our boys every morning before school. We teach them how to pray and serve others. We teach them to be thankful and kind. We teach them to expect miracles, because they happen every day! I serve in the women's organization planning activities and helping where I am needed. I have an ever growing relationship with my Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ, that I do my best to nurture and grow. Prayer has always been a big part of my life, it is my life line in many ways. I am far from perfect, but know that I am loved by my Father in Heaven just the way I am. I struggle sometimes to have faith and let the Lord's pan for me unfold. But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has a plan for me and that he wants me to learn and grow and lean on Him.
