Hi I'm Marci Candland

I live in Utah. I love theatre, dance, and music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am obsessed with the performing arts. I take dance (my favorite style is jazz and swing), and I participate in my high school women's choir. I've been doing theatre since the eighth grade. I'm currently in my seventh play ("Hairspray"). I love to go to school and I love to read and write. I have been a member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life and I can't imagine a better way to live. I absolutely love going to church, learning about the Gospel, and increasing my knowledge of my Heavenly Father's Plan.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised by Mormon parents. I did not have to be a Mormon. I chose to. Why? Because I have found no better way to live, no better values, no better Gospel. I know that the values and teachings of the LDS church will help me to be a better person, in all aspects of my life. I choose to be a Mormon because I love it. I choose to be a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I choose to be a Mormon because I know that if I continue to live the commandments and teachings of our living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, I will be blessed and I can receive eternal life and live with my family for eternity. I choose to be a Mormon. It's not always easy. But the best things in life can never come without challenges. And when you find yourself living the Gospel because you love it, it becomes easier and easier to live righteously and better every day.

How I live my faith

I am the first counselor in my young women's class presidency. I help the president plan activities that will strenghthen our fellow members and help them to come closer to Christ.
