Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Musician, Anatomy Buff, and Exercise Enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in my twenties living the college dream! I really have 2 things that I do in my spare time - I love music and sports. It started when I was 4 where I started playing soccer. Then, at age 6, I started playing piano.. Currently I'm in my college marching band and recently completed the Insanity Workout Program. I'm finishing song up my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. I absolutely LOVE learning anatomy and physiology, and tend to geek-out about it quite a bit. I'm planning to go into the medical field in some way - I just need to decide which career!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this gospel and the knowledge it brings has helped me through the hardest times of my life and made my happiest moments so much better. Looking back on my life, I can see clear times where I would've wanted to give up on life, but the hope and peace of the gospel pulled me through. I know that my Savior is always there for me and will help me through when times get tough and will rejoice with me in times of happiness.

How I live my faith

Ultimately, I live my faith by trying to live and serve as the Savior would. I try to treat others with love and kindness knowing that every person is a child of God. I want to make good choices everyday that will lead me to happiness. I try to live and act in a way that would not embarrass me, my family, or my God.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Emily
The Church does not endorse a particular political party, but we are encouraged to participate and get involved in political and community affairs. I try to find people or parties that have views that align with my own. Then, I try to participate as much as I can so that my views can be heard. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about family?

Emily
We believe that families are the fundamental unit of society. So much learning and nurturing starts in the home - the influence that a family has while raising a child is pretty incredible. The family and the relationships in a family are special and are of high importance. We believe that a families last forever - death is not the end. In the temple we can be sealed as a family and if we live righteously, we will together forever in eternity. Show more Show less
