Hi I'm Jake Heath

I grew up in California. I play collegiate football for Southern Virginia University. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am eighteen years old. I lived in Lompoc, California the first eighteen years of my life. I grew up with 5 of the best friends anyone could ask for. I was a student director for my high schools acapella singing group. I was in two musicals in high school. I grew up Playing basketball and Football. I eventually decided to stick with football and am now playing at Southern Virginia University. I have 5 siblings, a younger brother and sister, two older sisters, and an older brother. I have grown up living around family. My Grandma and Grandpa have lived right down the street all my life. I have had cousins that live 2 minutes away for most of my childhood. I Love my Family. MY Goals in Life are to go to dental school and to become a dentist. But more importantly I hope to be married to a Loving wife, and raise a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church for many reasons. First, this church has living prophets and aposltes today. This is important to me because the lord will reveal his secrets to his prophets (Amos 3:7). Another reason I have decided to be a member of this church is because I have found the Book of Mormon to be the Word of God to the people in our day as well as the Lords spoken word to the people of previous generations. The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion, it holds the church up. If you gain a testimony of this book then you will know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and living church upon the face of the earth. You will only recieve this witness if you come with real intent to know of its truthfulness, if you are trying to prove it wrong you will feel nothing. Another reason I have chosen to be a member of this church because this church teaches of a way for our families to be reunited for eternity. This is something that I know to be true and something that has given me great peace in my life. This Gospel and this Church are true, and that is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by trusting in the Lord in all I do. I do my best to serve others that are in my quorum and those that I Home teach every month. I am the second counselor in my ward's Elder's Quorum Presidency and I have been called to Serve a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Arequipa, Peru. I always try to do my best to make others feel welcome in the ward. I always try to make sure that people can trust me and that I can be an example of the believers in all that I do and say. I try to constantly be thinking of ways that I can help those around me. While I am definetly not perfect at any of these things, I am always striving to be a better servant to my Heavenly Father. I try to keep a prayer in my heart at all times and be an instrument in the lord's hands to help out others. The Lord has blessed me greatly in my life and has done so much for me that if I don't try and be a helper down on earth for him I would be a very ungrateful servant. Service is an important part of my life, and will continue to be a focus as I serve the People of Peru.
