Hi I'm Travis

I am a runner and a drummer. I currently live in NY and love it! I love Spanish culture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be busy! I was a member of Band, Marching Band, JROTC, Cross-Country, and Track while in high school. I love running and staying in shape. Music is a huge part of my life, and I love to play the drums. I speak Spanish, and I love serving the people in New York as a Missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, and have been active my entire life. I had troubles with my testimony throughout most of high school, but in these past few months it has grown significantly. I made the decision to serve a mission on my own accord, over the choice I had to go to college instead. I know that this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. I also know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet on the earth today. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ, and that it was translated through the power of revelation. I have felt the power of Christ's sacrifice in my life, and it is absolutely amazing. His love for me, and for everyone on this earth is so great. I am so glad to know that he is always there for me through everything.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am a full time missionary serving in New York. I give my time to the people here to help them come unto Christ. My goal everyday is to help people live happier and better lives.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Travis
God is our loving Heavenly Father, and we are His children. His main goal is to make it so that we can all return to him. He has a body like we do, but it is perfect and glorious. He knows you and loves you just as a father here on the earth loves his children, but infinitely more. That is why He sent Jesus Christ (John 3:16) Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Travis
Of course I do! God has always called prophets to guide His work here on the earth. We read about that in the Bible, in Amos 3:7. Without Prophets, we don't have the direct guidance that God's church needs to stay pure and undefined from the teachings of the world. As we follow the teachings of the living prophet, as well as other modern and ancient prophets, we can know that we are following God and that we are on the right path. Show more Show less
