Hi I'm Jenna

I'm an 18 year from Alberta. I was a collegiate student athlete. I love movie marathons. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jenna and I'm from Alberta. I grew up Catholic and never felt many ties to my religion. There was always something missing to me that I knew I needs to search for. Aside from my faith, I was always extremely active and loved all sports growing up. I played on varsity teams for swimming, handball and basketball in highschool. I received a basketball scholarship for my college career and completed my first year and a Bachelor of Physical education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was set to embark on a quest to find the whole truth until I found it. I am grateful for friends of mine who had recently converted and were able to share their testimonies with me, which had a significant impact into my discovery of the church. Bearing Testimonies is SO important! I needed to learn more after I had done lots of research online, on LDS.org and through talking with online missionaries. I referred myself and was baptized one month later. I knew that this Church was true because of my affirmation from the Holy Spirit. They say that you "know" when you feel it, and the first time I did was certainly memorable. I was reading the Book of Mormon (2 Nephi 2:13-14) and I just knew. I had felt that there was no longer a missing piece of the puzzle in my journey of faith, and with my newfound knowledge of the Book of Mormon, I knew I had found the truth.

How I live my faith

Living in a family of all non-members can be difficult at times. However my testimony of the Gospel is what keeps me strong. I know what the early Saints went through and how hard their life was, so I'm grateful to be able to live somewhere with religious freedom, and to live in an area where there are plenty of chapels, activites, and our very own Temple. I am strong with my Testimony because of what the Prophet Joseph Smith had to endure when introducing the Restored Gospel to his people. Our early Saints suffered so I can life this live I do now. I know the best way to be an example for the Church is to show it, so living a life of kindness and understanding and loving others is the best way to do so. I love to read my scriptures and especially do studies with my girl friends. We strengthen each other this way and try to do as much as possible for families or women in our ward who need help in the simplest way. Living life with Christlike love is the greatest way to live our faith.
