Hi I'm M.J.

I grew up in Utah. I'm the oldest brother in my family. LDS Missionaries taught me. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing with people who also love to sing. Singing in an official choir or just casually as a group doesn't matter, music makes my heart happy. Sitting down for a couple hours and reading a good book is nice when life gets crazy. I like to explore what life has to offer, be it a new food, a new activity, or learning about other cultures and traditions and what they offer to improve someone's view on life, I'm open to new things.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents were members of this church in my childhood, but due to circumstances I was unable to attend our church often. It wasn't until two missionaries of this church came to our home and taught me about the gospel. I have never in my life felt the peace that came into our home when they came to teach each week. Everything they taught me rang true in my heart and mind. As I was baptized and continued attending church, that feeling of peace and happiness and the feeling that these things are true just became stronger. I know this church is true, I know it because I have felt its change in my life as I have followed the gospel's principles. I know our Heavenly Father lives. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, our Redeemer and He also lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon and all it contains is true. I know that there are living prophets and apostles today. I know this because I have seen their hand in my life, because the Holy Ghost has testified to me the truth of this church. I cannot express the gratitude toward my Savior, my Heavenly Father of the blessings they've given me, so I strive each day to be more obedient to what they've commanded. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

Despite any situation, I try all I can to come to church. There, I have helped teach my peers and learn from them. I helped plan activities that other boys our age do throughout the week. I go to other people's homes each month with another person to get to know the families in our local church. We also serve each other when we are in need of something we cannot do alone. Most times this leads to working someone's yard, or helping with a project to improve someone's state of living, but it is very fulfilling to do.
