Hi I'm Alexa

I was born in Salt Lake City Utah, but moved to Texas only a few years later when I was six. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single college student currently studying Chemical Engineering. I love to read, but am notoriously known for my great distaste for writing. Though I am studying to major in a scientific/mathematical field I love studying history and hope to be able to be a teacher some day later in life. I love the outdoors and animals, having quite a few dogs and cats of my own. More hobbies of mine include playing tennis, the clarinet, drawing, and watching sports in general.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the great blessing of being born in the Church and being raised with its true gospel principles. That being said, being born in the Church didn't give me an automatic testimony of its truth by default. I worked hard for the knowledge of the truth of this gospel and its principles and teaching. I gained my own testimony of its truth as the one true Church of God on this earth through first planting the seeds of faith inside of me and then pushing myself to test the principles I had always been raised to believe in until I knew of their truth for myself. It was okay for me to start out with only the small faith that I could. What was important was that I continued to build upon what faith I already had, no matter how small. As I did so, I have come to know and be able to testify of the love my Father in Heaven has for me. His gospel's purpose, His work and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of mankind. His greatest joy is found when we obey him and are given our own joy from the blessings of our obedience. His son is Jesus Christ and he is our Savior and Redeemer. He gave his life for every single person on this earth, so that we may return to live with him and our Heavenly Father once more in Heaven. I am so blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel and the peace that it gives me. I testify of the truth of these words and the happiness they can bring anyone who is willing to plant a seed of faith.

How I live my faith

While I prepare to serve my mission in Scotland and Ireland, I am a teacher to the children of the church, preparing and teaching them every Sunday about the gospel, Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ and the love the both have for all of their children on the earth.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?
