Hi I'm Caden Barthlome

I grew up in Randolph, Utah. I love all sports and being in the mountains. I will be serving my mission in Colombia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was five years old I moved to Randolph, Utah from Thatcher, Idaho. I grew up through the Rich School District playing football and basketball since about the fourth grade until I graduated. After graduation, I put in my mission papers and received my call to the Colombia Bogota North Mission. I will be leave on November 5, 2014 and am so excited. I have four older sisters that are married and starting families of their own. I have a very loving mother that keeps me busy helping her around the yard and in the house. My father owned a ranch in Thatcher and taught school until he passed away in 2008. My step father owns a ranch in Randolph. I have always enjoyed working on a ranch my entire life and this last summer I worked for a neighbor and friend on his ranch. I plan on attending Weber State University after my mission and going into the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church my entire life but I am a Mormon because I KNOW with all of my heart that it is the true church. The Book of Mormon has helped me many times in my life and I see the blessings it brings in my life and in the life of people around me. To me, there is no better feeling than the feeling I get when I give service to others. You can't help but just smile because you are helping someone. I get the same feeling whenever I read the Book of Mormon and pray to our Father in Heaven. I would just like to briefly share my testimony with you that I know God lives and Jesus is the Christ. Jesus atoned for our sins so that we could live in the presence of our Heavenly Father again. The Holy Ghost guides and helps me through my life everyday. He is the feeling I get when I read the Book of Mormon and pray. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon for us in at this time and the book will bless your life if you allow it to. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our savior, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith not only by serving a mission and magnifying my church callings but just by trying to be an example and friend to others. A lot of time people just need a friend to talk to or have some there for them. I have always tried to be the person that someone can talk to if they need something or just need someone to listen to what is going on in there life. I consider everyone I meet to be my friend and love the scripture, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor..." I have also always tried to be an example or the person someone looks up to. In my life I have had so many great examples and I still strive to be more like them daily.
