Hi I'm Taylor

I am currently a college student. I have 5 sisters and I am leaning on the gospel to help navigate this new and exciting world.

About Me

I am currently a college freshmen who is going through the ups and downs of starting a new life away from home. I have 5 sisters who I love dearly and 3 little nephews, (funny how that works). I love to sing and play volleyball. I am an avid reader and have a passion for country music. I grew up playing on all sorts of sports teams and participating in music groups like band and choir in school. I love my family with all my heart and am so grateful to have them in my life. At this point in my life I am trying to learn as much as I can about the gospel and Christ's life. I have a testimony of Christ and the Book of Mormon, but I am still actively searching out answers as I am making it on my own and trying to find a place for myself in this big world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Christ and what he's done for me. I know that by following His example and the commandments I can live again with Him and our Father in Heaven. I also know that through Christ we can find true happiness and comfort. On many occasions I have felt the peace and knowledge that comes from His love and knowing that I am a daughter of God. I know that He is there and that He watches over me. I know that Jesus Christ is my older brother, Savior and redeemer. I am so grateful to have this knowledge in my life because it has changed the way I act and see myself, as well as others around me. I know that He has a plan for me and that I can find out for myself through personal faith and study, the correct path I should take. Any questions, concerns or doubts I have I know that I can go to my Heavenly Father in prayer and He will direct me.

How I live my faith

Before moving up to college I was the President of my Young Women's group in my home ward. I was in charge of watching over and taking care of the 14-18 year old girls. From that, I learned what it means to be a role model and positive leader. I have learned how to reach out to those who need a little love and support and I've definitely grown closer to the girls I spent so much time with. Now, as part of a Young Single Adult ward I am responsible for overseeing a number of girls in our ward and making sure they are taken care of and given a hand when they need it. It has given me a deeper appreciation for service and has helped me see the joy it can bring others when we give of ourselves. I love working with the girls and giving service. One of the things the Lord has taught us is that we should give of ourselves and love one another. Service and helping those around us is the perfect way for us, as disciples of Christ, to show love and charity towards our fellow men.

Who are the Mormons?

Taylor
The Mormons are all those who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They believe in Christ, God the Eternal Father, and the Holy Spirit. They believe in the Bible, as long as it has been translated correctly, as well as the Book of Mormon. They follow the teachings of Christ and believe that their church is the same as it was when Christ was on the earth, (12 apostles, authority from God to perform sacred ordinances, etc.) Show more Show less
