Hi I'm Meda

My family didn't go to Church. A friend asked me to go. I did and that decision was the best one I ever made. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom and a grandma. I love our yours, mine and our family. I taught school for many years and loved it! Now I like spending time with my husband working around our home, going on short get-a-way trips and enjoying family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the Gospel has filled my life with joy and immeasurable peace and contentment. I've grown to know and love our Savior. Even when life is filled with struggles He can strengthen us to bear our burdens well and help us gain increased trust and faith. I was widowed at the age of 25 with two young children to raise. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provided friends and associates of highest moral character for role models and friends for myself and children. I love being a member of The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My faith continues to be a great blessing to me. I know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us enough to have sent His beloved son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us from sin and death. What a miracle to be loved so unconditionally!

How I live my faith

I have loved serving and teaching young children and teenagers. I especially enjoy teaching about the prophets in the Old Testament. Studying their lives and teachings makes me especially happy that we have a latter-day prophet. I am thrilled now for the opportunity to serve a mission with my dear husband. Hopefully we will be able to help others find the joy and happiness we've found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Meda
My first husband died when our children were very young. I had to raise them without a father's influence and it was extremely difficult at times. Later I married my present companion and we were blessed to have another son. I learned first hand what a tremendous blessing it is to work together in accomplishing righteous goals. Because he took seriously his role to protect and provide for our family I was able to be at home to love and nurture our little boy. Now he's a strapping 6'5" missionary striving to spread the good news of the living Christ. I loved being a mother and homemaker. I definitely feel the roles of man and woman compliment each other and never have to compete in a healthy family relationship. Show more Show less
