Hi I'm Samantha

I'm from a family of six, I'm a laugher, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Como una misionera: Soy de los Estados Unidos. Estoy serviendo mi mision en Florida, estoy apprendiendo espanol y soy Mormona. :) I was born into an LDS family, but many of my recent ancestors weren't. My mother is a convert and has one of the strongest testimonies of anyone I know. My father was born into an LDS family, but didn't gain a testimony until the age of 25. They're extremely hard-working and wise, and I love them and the rest of my family dearly. I adore all things beautiful. Whether made by God or man, whether it is something heard, seen, smelled, touched, tasted or felt with the spirit. A few touching notes of a concerto, the majesty of a mountain landscape, the feel of another person's love... I love these little beauties in life and their enriching flavor. I plan to graduate from college after I serve an LDS mission. After that, I plan to start a career, be married in the temple and start a family. Some of my hobbies include swimming, kayaking, riding ATVs, doodling, horseback riding, listening to music, and simply taking time to ponder. Sometimes daydream, even.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a firm testimony that the Book of Mormon is true and that the true church has been restored to the Earth. I know that through temple ordinances, families can be sealed for time and all eternity. I know that every person has a divine potential and is loved unconditionally by the supreme being that created them. I feel my Heavenly Father's love everyday and I know that this is where He wants me to be. I love Him and know that He has a divine plan for me and everyone of His children. I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel is true, and I strive to live it everyday.

How I live my faith

As followers of Christ, we strive to become more like him. To be kind, honest, charitable, understanding, without sin, and so forth. I strive to do this everyday. It can be difficult; but by reading the Book of Mormon daily, praying, going to church and heeding the counsel of the Prophet and Apostles. Through Jesus Christ, all things are possible. And with His help, I seek to be the very best that I can. He can make up for where I fall short; just as He can for every, single person that has, is and will ever live.
